As part of our ongoing commitment to safety, consistency, and excellence in high school athletics, the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) is launching a new statewide registration and eligibility process for all high school sports officials.

Developed in collaboration with officials’ associations, school administrators, and state leaders, this initiative represents a significant step toward unifying all state high school officials and Accredited Officials Associations under one statewide framework. The new system will enhance consistency, transparency, accountability, and support for high school officiating throughout California.

Officials may register through ArbiterSports to begin the CIF eligibility process. This centralized system will streamline background checks, standardize qualifications, and simplify access to cost-effective insurance coverage.

CIF and ArbiterSports are also pleased to announce a new agreement with the NFHS Officials Education Services (OES) Program. Key benefits of the NFHS OES Program include:

• Access to all NFHS rules PowerPoints, educational videos, and training materials.
• Unlimited access to sport-specific online interpreter meetings.

• NFHS membership cards (digital and printed options available).
